Bombers Successful At Weekend Tournament

Indianola, IA – The Ballard volleyball team showcased their determination and skill at the Indianola Tournament this past weekend, finishing with a record of 4-2. 

The tournament kicked off with an exciting match against Cedar Rapids Kennedy, where Ballard clinched a narrow victory, winning 25-23 and 21-19.  This strong start set a positive tone for the day, highlighting the team's ability to perform under pressure.

Next, the Bombers faced #7 Glenwood. In a hard-fought battle, the Bombers fell short, losing both sets 21-16 and 21-19.  The Bombers bounced back decisively against #14 Clarinda, winning 21-17 and 21-14.  

However, the Bombers faced another tough challenge against the #5 ranked team, Indianola.  The Bombers put up a strong fight, but ultimately fell 21-16 and 21-17, reflecting the high level of competition they encountered throughout the day.

The team demonstrated their resilience once again in their match against Fort Dodge, where they triumphed with scores of 21-15 and 22-20.  The Bombers finished strong, sweeping Urbandale in their final match with impressive scores of 21-7 and 21-10, concluding the tournament on a high note.

Overall, the Ballard volleyball team improved their record to 17-13 with a conference mark of 4-2. The Bombers will face RRC opponent Gilbert on Tuesday, October 15, at 5:30 PM.
