Good Conduct Code

A student who violates the Good Conduct Code during enrollment in grades 7-12 shall be ineligible to participate in any extra-curricular activity in accordance with the following provisions; however, students who violate the Good Conduct Code after completion of eighth grade shall serve out any remaining period of ineligibility but the next violation shall start over as a first violation.  During a period of ineligibility, the student will be allowed to participate in practices or rehearsals at the discretion of the sponsor, but shall not be allowed to participate in any public performances or events.  Sanctions shall be served concurrently for students involved in both fine arts and athletic activities.

FIRST VIOLATION:

a. Miss 30% of the scheduled events, rounded to the nearest whole number.
 
b. Complete 10 hours of community service, approved by the administration, within 30 days.
 

SECOND VIOLATION:

a. Miss 50% of the scheduled events, rounded to the nearest whole number.
 
b. Complete 20 hours of community service, approved by the administration, within 45 days.
 

THIRD VIOLATION AND SUBSEQUENT VIOLATION:

a. One-year suspension from all activities.
 
b. Complete 30 hours of community service, approved by the administration, within 60 days.
 
**Scheduled events refer to those in the regularly planned season schedule (includes first scheduled postseason contest in calculation, if applicable).**

 

Eligibility Code for Extra-Curricular Activities Including Fine Arts

Note:  For students that are sanctioned under the Eligibility Code who are involved in the fine arts, if they are required to perform as part of a grade (e.g. band or chorus), the student will be withheld from participation without impacting the student’s grade.
