ELDORA, IA – The Ballard women's tennis team delivered an impressive all-around performance Friday night, defeating South Hardin 7-2 on the road. The Bombers dropped the top two singles matches but bounced back to win the remaining seven matches, showcasing their depth and teamwork in the early season matchup.

South Hardin's top two players, Abby Teske and Mea Wilaby, earned hard-fought singles wins over Ballard's Payton Askelsen and Ava Reynolds, both by 8-6 scores. After that, it was all Ballard.

Singles Results – Ballard Victories:

• Alaina Severson picked up a clutch 8-5 win at No. 3 singles.

• Kayley Gardner battled to an 8-6 victory at No. 4.

• Addy Agena dominated at No. 5, winning 8-2.

• Harley Askelsen sealed the singles sweep for Ballard's lower lineup with a gritty 9-7 win at No. 6.

Doubles Action – Ballard Sweeps the Court:

• Payton Askelsen and Emersyn Engstler regrouped and delivered a solid 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

• Ava Reynolds and Alaina Severson teamed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 2.

• Kayley Gardner and Addy Agena closed out the night with an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

With the win, Ballard improves to 1-1 on the season and showed strong potential throughout the lineup.
