Bombers Fall to Wildcats Despite Second-Half Effort

The Ballard women's basketball team battled against No. 11 Carlisle on Tuesday night but fell short in a 47-29 loss.  The Bombers (4-12, 3-9 RRC) struggled to find offensive rhythm early, scoring just eight points in the first half before picking up momentum in the third quarter.

Senior Raegan Loewe led Ballard with 12 points, knocking down two three-pointers and adding five rebounds and four steals.  Junior Jada Lande provided a spark, scoring eight points on 3-of-4 shooting, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.  Freshman Kaylor Johnson was active on the boards, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds.

Despite holding Carlisle to single digits in the third quarter, the Bombers couldn't close the gap as the Wildcats' defense remained tough throughout.

Ballard will look to bounce back on Friday when they host No. 14 ADM, with tipoff set for 6:00 PM.
