Zeigler and Miller Soak Up State Experience

Waterloo, IA - The Ballard Bombers men's tennis team showcased their skills at the Class 1A State Singles and Doubles Tennis Tournament held at Byrnes Park in Waterloo.  On a beautiful day filled with competitive spirit, the Bombers' doubles partners, Emmett Miller and Isaiah Zeigler, faced tough opponents in their quest for state glory.

In the first round, Miller and Zeigler squared off against Easton Moon and Ethan Moon of North Polk.  Despite their best efforts, the Bombers' duo fell to the Moons with a final score of 6-0, 6-0. 

Following their first-round exit, Miller and Zeigler moved to the consolation bracket where they encountered Myers and Van Meter from Sergeant Bluff-Luton.  The Bombers fought valiantly, showcasing their resilience and determination.  Despite a strong start, Miller and Zeigler were ultimately defeated with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1.

With these results, the season came to an end for Emmett Miller and Isaiah Zeigler.  Although they did not advance further in the tournament, their participation at the state level marks a significant achievement for the Ballard men's tennis program.
