The Ballard men's bowling team started their season with a nail-biting victory, defeating the ADM Tigers 2,786 to 2,750 at Perfect Games.
Senior Brenden Wright led the Bombers with an outstanding performance, scoring a match-high 447 total pins, including a high game of 234. Junior Gage Tapp was equally impressive, rolling a 415 series and a high game of 244 to anchor the Bombers in crucial moments.
Junior Stetson Kane contributed 362 total pins with a high game of 199, while sophomore Carter Sparks added a solid 350 series, highlighted by a high game of 183. Sophomore Kyler Johnson (340 total, high game 192) and junior Braden Skurdal (236 total, high game 142) rounded out the Bombers' lineup.
ADM provided stiff competition, keeping the match close throughout. However, the Bombers displayed composure and consistency in the Baker games, allowing them to pull away in the final stages of the match.
"It was an intense way to start the season, and I'm incredibly proud of the team," said head coach Corey Vespestad. "Everyone stepped up when it mattered most, and it's exciting to see our hard work pay off. We'll take this momentum into the rest of the season."
The Bombers will look to continue their winning streak on December 3, traveling to face Pella Christian at Statesmen Lanes. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
