A missed field goal by North Polk with seconds left on the clock allowed the Bombers to escape with a 7-6 victory over #5 North Polk on Friday night.
With 8 seconds remaining in the game and the Bombers leading 7-6, North Polk lined up for a 31-yard field goal. The field goal would sail left and the Bombers would kneel on the ball to run the rest of the time out.
Mason Gatchel was 7 of 11 on the night throwing for 108 yards and an interception. Running back Eli Rouse had 20 carries for 40 yards and the games only touchdown. Chance Lande caught four passes for 37 yards.
Jackson Wacha had 12.5 tackles and Rhett Hedrick had 11.5 tackles.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 3-3 (1-1) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday - October 6 when they travel to #1 ADM in district play. The game will kick off at 7:00 PM.
