SLATER, IA -- In a nail-biting contest at Nite Hawk Field, the Bombers delivered a stellar performance to edge past the #2 ranked North Polk Comets, securing a 3-2 victory. The Bombers' record now stands at 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the Raccoon River Conference.

Junior pitcher Jacob Luster was instrumental in the Bombers' success, starting on the mound and delivering a remarkable performance.  Luster pitched 6 innings, allowing just 1 earned run while striking out 5 batters, showcasing his dominance and resilience under pressure.

Offensively, center fielder Eli Rouse set the tone early, scoring the first run for Ballard.  Junior Nicolas Schonhorst was a standout at the plate, going 2-for-3, and driving in a crucial run.  Luster also contributed with two RBIs, proving his value both on the mound and at the plate.
