Coach Maggie grew up in Forest City, IA and loved being involved in sports and other activities growing up. At a young age, volleyball quickly became her favorite sport and she has been playing the game ever since. After high school, Maggie attended the University of Northern Iowa where she got her BA in Business Management. One of her favorite memories from UNI was winning the women's 6v6 intramural pool each year of college.
Coach Mathiasen is now employed at Lessing-Flynn, a marketing agency located in Des Moines. She works as a project manager.
In her free time, she loves playing pickup volleyball with friends, baking all sorts of sweets, and reading a great book.
