Coach Sickels grew up in Des Moines spending all her time at the baseball field or at the gym as both of her parents coached.  She started playing volleyball at the age of 10 for Rams Juniors club and went on to play at the National level with IPVA for 5 years. Keslie trained with the Iowa HP team in the summer of 2011. She graduated from Southeast Polk High School, lettering on varsity.

Coach Sickels enjoyed playing the game so much that she continued her volleyball career as a Yellow Jacket at Graceland University.  She played varsity all four years and graduated with her BA in Liberal Arts of Physical Education in December 2017.  Keslie then decided that she wanted to further her education and attended Mercy College of Health Sciences, graduating with a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree in August of 2020.

She is now employed at McFarland Physical Therapy in Nevada as a PTA.  Keslie has coached sand volleyball for Elite Beach ages 12u, was a student coach for the men’s volleyball team at Graceland University, has coached two years with Rams Juniors club ages 14u and 15u, and two years at PowerPlex ages 16u and 17u. Keslie continues her playing career by getting involved in local sand and co-ed indoor leagues.

When she’s not on the court, she enjoys spending time with her dog Chief and adding to her collection of Nike’s.
