Hometown: Knoxville, IA
Previous College: Waldorf University

Erica grew up on a farm in Knoxville, spending most of her free time watching her parents coach volleyball.  At around 8-years-old she started playing volleyball for a club team in her hometown. Erica continued to play school and club volleyball as an outside hitter and defensive specialist throughout middle and high school while also participating in track, softball, student senate and honors society.

Erica decided to pursue volleyball in college at Waldorf University where she was also given the opportunity to run track.  At Waldorf, she was a member of the student senate, an intramurals worker/ref, a resident assistant, was in the record books for aces in a match, earned over 1,000 career digs in three years, was second in conference in the 800m run and graduated summa cum laude.

Shortly after receiving her Bachelor's in Marketing and Management, she moved to the East Village of Des Moines where she works at a full-service marketing agency called Two Rivers Marketing.

Erica has stayed busy within the volleyball community by becoming an IGHSAU referee, playing indoor and outdoor when she get the chance and coaching club at PowerPlex in Waukee.

Erica is very excited and is looking forward to being a part of the Ballard community!
