Scott is starting his 25th year of teaching.  He has been track coach for 24 seasons and cross country season for 23.  Scott is a 1988 graduate of Decorah Senior High School where he participated in cross country, basketball and track and field.  Scott attended Central College in Pella, Iowa for his undergraduate degree in elementary education.  While there, Scott participated in cross country and track and field at the college level - qualifying for nationals in the 800 meters and the 4x400 meter relay.  Scott continues to be an avid runner and enjoys working with the young athletes at Ballard and making them not only better athletes but better members of the community as well.
