Coach Huisinga joined the women’s soccer team as an assistant coach in 2024 after coaching girls’ soccer in the Ballard Soccer Club for 12 years.  He was born in Britt, Iowa, and later moved to Ida Grove, Iowa, where he graduated from high school. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in business management with minors in computer science and history from Simpson College.

For the past 29 years, he has been employed at Wells Fargo, currently serving as a lead credit officer in the Personal Lending group. Coach Huisinga resides in Slater with his wife Maureen and their three daughters: Emily, a 2020 Ballard graduate attending Iowa State University; Kate, a 2022 Ballard graduate studying at Simpson College; and Rachel, a senior at Ballard.
