Brent is the head coach of the women's varsity soccer team after spending 15 years coaching soccer with the Ballard Soccer Club and coaching/assisting in other sports along the way that his daughters participated in.

Brent was born in Iowa City, Iowa and grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa where he graduated high school.  He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Northern Iowa.

The past 9 years Brent has been working as a software developer for MidAmerican Energy Services in Urbandale.

In his free time, Brent likes spending time with family, friends, coaching/mentoring youth and volunteering.  He also enjoys jogging, biking and swimming.  He is a sports enthusiast and likes watching games and sporting events.  Some of his favorite teams are the Iowa Hawkeyes, UNI Panthers, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, US Men’s & Women’s soccer and all other USA teams.

Him and his wife Julie have 2 daughters and 2 dogs.  Kelli Jo is a 2015 graduate of Ballard and is at Luther in Decorah, Iowa.  Karlee is a sophomore at Ballard.
