Coach Melanie Khounsourath currently resides in Nevada, where she enjoys being part of a close-knit community alongside her family. Outside of coaching, she finds joy in spending time outdoors, staying active, and engaging with others through sports and community events. Her passion for athletics, combined with a strong desire to mentor and guide young athletes, drives her commitment to coaching.

A former collegiate softball player at Ellsworth Community College, Coach Khounsourath is a four-year All-Conference honoree who gained valuable experience playing multiple positions. She redshirted her first year of college, an experience that offered her a unique perspective on resilience and personal growth. Her time as a student-athlete deeply influenced her coaching philosophy, which emphasizes discipline, effective communication, and a team-first mindset.
