Good Weather At Tiger Invite, Bombers Improve

The men's cross country team competed in the Tiger Invitational and finished 8th with 196 team points.  Winterset won the meet finishing with 31 team points.

The Bombers were led by Max Davidson who finished 21st running in a time of 18:56.2.  Graden Hermann (25th) ran in a time of 19:17.2.

The Bombers are back in action on Thursday - September 28 when they compete in the Perry Invitational Meet.  The middle school, junior varsity, and varsity will race and the action starts at 4:15 PM.

Comments From Head Coach Scott Barth:

"Bradley Sage continued to run well at the Heartland Classic finishing as our top finisher in 17:45. Jameson Witt gutted out a solid 20:05 and Isaac Swisher and Braden Kubichek finished in 22:34 and 23:34 respectively. Isaac Swisher ran so well at Ballard that that moved the freshman into the varsity competition at Heartland. Like the freshman girls mentioned above, it was a good experience for him as he is a hard worker and new to the sport. He is focused on improvement and willing to do what it takes to get better.

At ADM, Max Davidson and Graden Hermann returned from minor injuries and finished 21st and 25th overall with times of 18:56 and 19:17. They both had modified workouts over the course of the last week, so this meet was meant to get them back out and racing to knock off some of the rust. Jude Jones had another breakthrough running a 21:31 which will likely earn him a varsity spot in our next meet. Seth Hilleman also ran really well in the JV race finishing in a time of 22:20 which puts him in the conversation for a varsity position as well."
