Corey is extremely blessed to have the opportunity to teach in the community that he grew up in.  Corey is a Slater native and a Ballard graduate.  Corey received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Iowa State University and his master’s degree in secondary education from Viterbo University. 

Corey is in his 20th year of teaching high school science and in his 18th year at Ballard.  Corey currently teach physics, AP chemistry, advanced biology, and advanced scientific frontiers (genetics).  Corey is also an assistant varsity football coach and middle school boy's track coach. 

His wife, Rachel, is the 8th grade science teacher at Ballard Middle School and they have two daughters that are both students at Ballard.  

In his spare time, Corey likes spending time with his family, watching college football, and cheering for the New York Yankees.
