Jake currently lives in Ankeny, IA with his wife, 6 kids, and 3 dogs.  Sports have always been a big part of his life.  He especially enjoys watching football (Go Packers, Go Michigan), basketball (Go Spurs), and baseball (Go Indians).  He also enjoys playing basketball and coaching his kids in their various sports.  He began his coaching career as the junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Woodward Academy in Woodward, IA.  He coached there for 2 years before coming to Ballard. 

He began coaching at Ballard as a middle school assistant boy's basketball coach before becoming the 7th grade boy's basketball coach in 2014.  Teaching and coaching are 2 things that Jake is very passionate about and he looks forward to continue doing both of them.
