Jamie is originally from Ames, graduating from Ames High in 2001.  After high school, Jamie went to the University of Iowa, where he earned his bachelor’s in education.  Jamie is a huge Hawkeye fan!  He worked in Iowa City for a couple of years as a teacher after college and then came back to the Ames area where he has been teaching for the past 15 years. 

In addition to teaching, Jamie has spent many years coaching football, basketball, baseball, and track at the middle school and high school level.  Recently, his family moved to Huxley and into the Ballard School District.  He loves the community and is really excited about the opportunity to coach in a district that is well known for their success in academics and athletics.
