Mike grew up in Davenport and went to Davenport Assumption High School.  He studied Exercise Science at Central College where he played four years of baseball and football for the Dutch.  At Central, Mike was a two time All-Conference player in football and a four time All-Conference player in baseball.  Mike started his baseball coaching career at Central College, then went on to Marshalltown, Grinnell and most recently spent three years coaching at North Polk High School.  Mike has been involved with baseball his entire life, and has had the opportunity to coach under three Iowa Hall of Fame coaches and is looking forward to starting his head coaching career with the Bombers.
