WEBSTER CITY -- The Ballard softball team competed in the Webster City Tournament over the weekend.
In the first game, the Bombers faced Webster City. Ballard battled hard but ultimately lost 4-2 in a closely contested game.
The second game saw the Bombers up against top-ranked Martensdale-St. Marys. Despite their best efforts, Ballard was overpowered, falling 8-3.
With these results, Ballard's record now stands at 5-9 (3-4).
Looking ahead, the Bombers are gearing up for their next challenge as they prepare to face #2 North Polk on Monday, June 10. The Junior varsity game kicks off at 5:30 PM, followed by the Varsity game at 7:00 PM.
